It was a bounce back week for us. After a miserable Week 3, Week 4 turned out alright. JDaddy led the way with 12 correct picks, and I didn't embarrass myself, which is a step in the right direction. I got back to my old ways of picking against the Cowboys, and that turned out to be the swing pick for my week. It's not that I don't like the Cowboys, it's just that I know the other three would rather spend the rest of their life in prison before they picked against Dallas.* Seeing how the Cowboys routinely disappoint, I like my chances with this strategy.
*Editor's Note: After picks were submitted, JDaddy proved me wrong.
Last Week

Week 5 NFL Picks Against a 5-Year-Old
It hasn't been a good sports week here in the Metroplex. Between Tony Romo's interceptions and the collapse of the Rangers, it's been a while since we've seen a win. And with the Cowboys' bye week and the Rangers playing a one game Wildcard Series on Friday, it could be a weekend without professional sports. Not at all what we expected around here.
But at the Cheap Seats, we're still going strong. Well, at least two of us are. A 10-5 Week 4 has me back on the plus side of things. Uncle J continued his stellar 2012 campaign with a 9-6 week. JDaddy and the kid both turned in 7-8 performances, which for them is pretty good.
There are just 14 NFL games on tap this weekend, so we need to come out swinging.
Week 4
CDog: 10-5
Uncle J: 9-6
5-Year-Old: 7-8
JDaddy: 7-8
Overall
Uncle J: 35-27-1
CDog: 32-30-1
5-Year-Old: 27-35-1
JDaddy: 24-38-1

Week 5 NFL Predictions - Experts vs a Four-Year-Old
We're four weeks into our little experiment of picking football games against a 4-year-old. What have we learned?
Here are the records through Week 4:
Last Week
JDaddy: 9-7
CDog: 6-10
4-Year-Old: 11-5
Overall
JDaddy: 28-33-3
CDog: 29-32-3
4-Year-Old: 33-28-3
Will the start of the bye weeks throw the kid off his game? Probably not, but I can hope.
- JDaddy and I are terrible at this. I'm kind of glad we decided to pick against the kid. Otherwise it would be like watching two Sun Belt lightweights fight it out for the conference championship. Somebody has to win, but it's not fun to watch.
- All you need to do to pick games is go to NFL.com and figure out which logo you like better.
- If the 4-year-old had been able to control his gambling habit in Week 3 he would be 29-16-3 on the year.
